Engagement

Engagement

Engagement is defined as the date on which an interactive client relationship results in a deliberate client assessment or beginning of a case plan. It is when the engagement date is recorded that data quality is accounted for in a given client record and project enrollment.

Engagement date can match the project start date or occur after the initial enrollment.

Once the date of engagement is entered into HMIS, complete all necessary intake paperwork and enter all required data fields. Once the date of engagement is entered, the client’s record becomes eligible for data quality review in canned reports, such as the APR and the CAPER.
